What Sad News indeed! They're retiring from making kaleidoscopes. So, you might just think of getting one of these before the lovely items are gone. . . Paul and Susan have designed a wonderful systems in their kaleidoscopes because of their superior mirror system and cell combination. The end oil cell makes exceptionally colorful and clear designs. Many are made of rare maple burl. Their "Fantasy Vision" kaleidoscopes (pictured above) with cell attached stands a little over 9 1/2" tall, and is approximately 2 1/2" wide at the cell end. Some kaleidoscope bodies are made of spalted curly maple, banded in brass. The Knox have created a contemporary heirloom for you and your loved ones. You may be able to see that the cell is also side lit, allowing even more light to transform the beautiful glass into sparkly colors. On their more expensive kaleidoscopes the cell is interchangeable, with which to indulge yourself in more possibilities. |
